CITIZENS OF DADE UNITED began in 1980 when 125,000 “illegal ”Mariel
Cuban invader refugees (50,000 criminals) came to Miami, Fla. & devastated
it, forcing legal citizens to pay outrageous tax increases for this insanity forced
upon us by Miami Cuban-American politicians who welcomed all 125,000
illegal Cubans just to compose 3 Hispanic U.S. Congressional Voting Districts
headed by Cuban-Americans ELIANA ROS-LEHTINEN; LINCOLN DIAZ-
BALART & recently MARIO DIAZ-BALART plus numerous city, county &
state seats controlled by a Cuban-American majority who stole Miami’s political
machinery from “legal”U.S. Citizens who held those seats! Because 125,000
came, Miami-Dade County was spending over $1 million per year to translate
4,500 pages of English meetings into Spanish for Cuban refugees who refused to
learn English! Because of this insanity, CODU collected 137,000 signatures & put
an “official English” ordinance on the ballot & passed by 60 percent in 1980.
SALAD-Spanish American League Against Discrimination (attorney MANNY
DIAZ ,presently the Mayor of Miami) sued CODU in federal court & lost trying
to block our vote from the ballot! This shows how unfair these Cuban exiles are!
One year after the Mariel Cubans came, Miami became the “murder capital” of
The world with 615 murders in 1981!

Since 1980, many Immigration Control groups failed to get an immigration bill.
CODU forced U.S. Rep.Claude Pepper to put an immigration bill on his “rules
Calendar.” by sending him a telegram saying CODU would protest at his Miami
home daily. The next day he promised us he would put up a bill which became the
1986 Immigration Reform & Control Act. MANNY DIAZ, the present Mayor of
Miami was the attorney for SALAD who tried to block congress & Rep. Pepper
from any bill whatsoever! CODU has spoken before city, county, state & U.S.
Congress numerous times plus holding over 100 protests in Miami-Dade & Broward
County, Fla., the White House, Congress several times, Krome Refugee Center &
INS office in Miami numerous times. On June 10, 03 we forced the City of South
Miami, Fla. to vote against accepting the illegal Mexican Matricula Consular I.D.
cards.

ENOS SCHERA, V.P. of CODU has appeared on Miami, state, national &
international radio & TV stations 150 times & was the Exec.Producer of 12 Cable
TV programs. JOE GARCIA, chief spokesperson for the Cuban American Nat’l.
Foundation (CANF) in Miami promised me he would come on my TV program &
failed to show! CANF was the key player in keeping Elian Gonzalez “kidnapped”
from his father just to make it a Castro issue. The CANF split & Ninoska Perez-
Castellon formed her own radical Cuban exile group titled the Cuban Liberty Council
& she spews her false propaganda daily on Miami Spanish radio. Radical Cuban exile
groups who backed the CANF in Elian’s kidnapping, spit on people, beat them,
overturned garbage containers, set paper & tires on fire in the middle of the street,
placed boulders at Miami-Dade County shipping port blocking ship passengers, drove
car caravans 5 miles per hour blocking traffic just because opponents said they wanted
Elian returned & Cubans did not get their wishes!

These radicals fought against U.S. polls where 87 percent in the U.S. wanted him
returned with his father. These exile radicals are worse than Castro & constantly scream
about no freedom-of-speech in Cuba but beat & spit on people stopping our freedom-
of-Speech in Miami! Several years ago Los Van Van held a musical event & because
some musicans were from Cuba, Miami Cuban exiles spit at attendees, called women
prostitutes, threw frozen bottles of water, rocks, sticks & made hand jestures all
because they tried to stop attendees freedom-of-speech! More Miami insanity!
